Short Wave Pass Filters from China Suppliers - High-Performance Optical Filters Factory

,

Bodian's short-wave pass filters are designed to effectively transmit short wavelengths while blocking long wavelengths. These filters feature a wide cut-off bandwidth, deep cut-off depth, and steep conversion steepness, making them superior to traditional colored optical glass filters. With high transmittance rates reaching up to 95% and a cut-off depth of up to OD4, our filters ensure optimal performance across a wide spectral range. As a leading factory and supplier in China, we offer an extensive selection of standard filters in stock and provide customizable filter solutions tailored to meet your specific requirements.

    Product Overview

The short-wave pass filter is a cut-off filter in the interference filter. The cut-off filter is divided into a long-wave pass filter and a short-wave pass filter, that is, the light beam in a certain wavelength range is required to transmit and deviate from this. The wavelength of the beam changes to cut-off.

Generally, we call the filter that reflects (cut-off) the short-wave region and transmits the long-wave region a long-wave pass filter. On the contrary, the short-wave direction is transmitted, while the long-wave direction is cut off, which is used for isolation. The function of long wave is called short wave pass filter.

    Frequently Asked Questions
    ❓ What is a short-wave pass filter?
A short-wave pass filter is a type of cut-off interference filter that transmits light in the short-wave direction while blocking (cutting off) light in the long-wave direction. It is the optical opposite of a long-wave pass filter.
❓ What is the difference between a short-wave pass filter and a long-wave pass filter?
A long-wave pass filter reflects (cuts off) the short-wave region and transmits the long-wave region. A short-wave pass filter does the opposite — it transmits the short-wave region and cuts off the long-wave region, effectively isolating long-wavelength light.
❓ What coating process is used for this short-wave pass filter?
This short-wave pass filter uses IAD (Ion Assisted Deposition) Hard Coating technology, which ensures high durability, excellent adhesion, and superior optical performance compared to conventional soft coating methods.
❓ What wavelength options are available?
The filter is available in multiple wavelength configurations including SP450, SP495, SP540, SP650, SP720, SP855, SP920, and other custom wavelengths upon request to suit specific application requirements.
❓ What is the typical transmittance and blocking performance?
The average transmittance in the passband is greater than 90%, with a steep transition slope of 90%~10% within less than 10nm. The cutoff depth reaches OD >4, providing strong attenuation of unwanted wavelengths.
❓ In which industries or fields is the short-wave pass filter commonly used?
Short-wave pass filters are widely applied in optical experiments, spectral measurement, industrial measurement, medical analysis, biochemical testing, and scientific instruments, making them suitable for both research and commercial applications.
